Hello,
I need to connect some units with RS485 and in the user guide I have found
the following text regarding the cable to use:
"Wire gauge size is thicker than AWG #22 (0.33 mm2)."
I wonder what "AWG" is, is this a kind of a cable or specification?

Best Regards
E

AWG = American Wire Gauge, and RS485 should use twisted pair cable. Each
end should be terminated with a 120 ohm resistor (not each node, each end).

Hello,
If I understand correctly, what I need is twisted pair cable with a minimum
size of 0.33mm2?

Best Regards

American Wire Gauge. That sounds like a fairly large wire size to
use, I would expect 24 or even 26 to be adequate for the purpose.

Depends on the total length of the run.
