RPC shutdown init. by nt authority\system

I can't find anything on Microsoft's web site that deals
with this.

Everytime I use my dial up connection a message pops up
and in as many words says:
"this shutdown was initiated by nt authority\system
remote procedure call must now restart because rpc service
terminated unexpectantly."

then a timer counts down and reboot the computer

I had this and it is the Blaster worm. The Symantec
website has a blaster removal tool.

Hi Ryan, I had the same problem with my pc. I called my
pc's help center and they said alot of people are having
same problem, there is a glitch in the system. In order to
fix it, you need to download the latest updates on windows
XP. If you have any problems, you can email me back ,I
would be happy to help you further if needed. It worked
for me. He said it was on the news about this problem, so
you are not alone...lol, Kim
