Hi there!

I have a windows 2000 server running IIS 5.0 with 1900 sites. The average anonymous connected user is 790. Frequently my costumers report tha this error appear:

RPC server unavaiable.

The machine is a Dell Power Edge 2650 with 2 Xeon 2.8 e 2Gb Ram.

Anyone can help me solve this?

Thanks

I had this problem for awhile too and it turned out that
several XP and 2000 workstations had the MBlaster virus
variant that tried to send out hundreds of messages, tying
up the RPC and causing the machines to reboot. The
indications that the workstations had this virus was the
process MSLAUGH in the processor list. It wasn't hard to
clean off once I realized what was causing it, but it was
a pain for those that had their workstations reboot. If
they are complaining of reboots, you might check this as
well.
