I'm not sure if this is where I need to post this, but I
could sure use some help...

About a week ago I started experiencing problems with my
computer. When I log in, the only thing that will appear
on my screen is my desktop background. I get no icons,
no start menu bar, nothing. The only way I can access
programs is by opening the Task Manager (CTRL ALT DELETE)
and clicking on "new task." My other big problem is that
anywhere from one minute to 10 minutes later I get an
error message that says "Remote Procedure Call Service
(RPC) has terminated unexpectedly." It tells me to save
whatever I am doing and has a "countdown" clock that lets
me work for 60 seconds before it restarts my computer.

Can ANYONE please give me an idea what's going on? I'm so
clueless with this technical stuff. I could really use
some help. Thanks.

Your system has been effected by Blaster. After that is patched you should
check for other viruses and browser parasites.
