Awaiting, like everyone, to see what gets thrown at us. A couple of
questions.

1 I have used the Retina RPC DCOM Vulnerability Scanner on our network.
The results have been confused by the large number of windows 98 machines
returning as vulenerable. Is this a Retina "bug" or have I missed something?

2 Various bits of advice have suggested turning off DCOM. Does anyone
know what the consequences of this are for normal usage in an AD domain?

I've been asking the same questions, seen no replies here, Elliot
have you seen anything yet in other forums.
On the DCOM disabling - I have seen no adverse affects in my
environment relative to everyday work with "normal MS apps".

The latest version of the Retina RPC DCOM Scanner (1.0.4) correctly
identifies Windows 9x systems.
