RPC failure - "A system component,
RPC, required by outlook to connect to the E-mail server
is not configured properly"
On an upgrade installation from office XP. XP SP! and
exchange 2003. Have tried reinstalling but can not figure
out what RPC component is not working, as all the
services are working fine and other installations on the
network have no problems.
Help Please

Chris

Check for the presence of these keys and add them if they are missing:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\ClientProtocols]
"ncacn_np"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_ip_tcp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncadg_ip_udp"="rpcrt4.dll"
"ncacn_http"="rpcrt4.dll"

THanks that worked perfectly just repaired the
installation where it had rolled back to XP and it worked
fine.

Chris
