I posted a parcel off Ebay this morning at 10am and had feedback tonight at 6pm to say product works well with a positive feedback , it was only posted to Wythenshawe , Manchester but thats some going.

I have had no probs with them and they are a credit ...:thumb:

Wow, that's good going! I've had something delivered via RM special delivery quick too, ordered some memory one evening and got it at 8am the next day - not as good as 8 hours though ;)

It was sent Next Day 1st Class recorded (signed for) ...Maybe had a Police escort :)

Well as a postman for the last 12 years those comments make me smile.
But i would also like to add that most of us have a conciense(sp) at royal mail and take pride in getting your goodies to you.

Just do me one favour.............Keep ya bloody dogs indoors until i've finished delivering.:(

What lucky people you all are with Royal Mail.
If we have our normal postie we get the mail before 0900.
If it's a different postie we either dont get anything, we get other peoples mail or we get the post really late.

Our regular postie is really good and very popular because he always has a friendly word and does his job well:nod:

The posties who relieve him for holidays/days off can be less than sensible though - I feel so cross when a greeting card has travelled many miles to reach us intact, only to have it bent and creased out of recognition by the idiot who puts it through the letterbox - I wouldn't grumble if the mail item was too big to fit the opening, but I'm talking about mail of "normal" size which fits easily, without needing to be damaged. :wall: They also leave other people's mail too - not even for addresses in the same road.

I've noticed that Royal Mail in general seem to be speeding-up their service of late; several items that I've ordered recently, have taken under 24 hours to reach me :thumb: But has anyone ever tried getting through to Customer Services.... Nightmare!

I'm about to upset all of you now concerning Royal Mail. IF according to royal mail bosses everything goes to plan, you will all be receiving your mail an hour later than normal as of next week. Yes thats right, next week.

We have been told due to the restrictions on lorries taking mail from one destination to another, that it will slow everything down in the mail process time.
So instead of me getting up at 4:15am i will now be getting up an hour later..YIPPEEEEEEE.

The government has insisted the wagons speed be slowed to 56 mph from 60 mph. That 4 mph difference has a massive knock on effect according to our bosses:confused:

ALL postal delivery personel will now start work an hour later. Many people in my office are annoyed, but i am pleased.(sorry):D

Its funny how my customers always seem really pleased when i come back of my hols, as they have had their mail misdelivered and very late also.
