Yesterday I left a message, commenting on my problems with installing Roxio
or Nero in Windows Vista (RC1 and RC2). I couldn't install from the Admin
position because it wasn't visible on my system. But then along came Rick
"Nutcase" Rogers with the solution to my invisible Admin problem and I was
halfway there. I say "halfway" as I still had to get Roxio or Nero to
install.
So I rebooted as Admin, now that I could find him, and tried Nero. No luck.
It simply would not install, telling me it was not compatible with my
operating system and that I should look to the Nero web site for a solution.
Of course, there isn't one - at least not yet.
As a last resort I tried my Roxio Easy Media Creator, which I much prefer
anyway, and damned if the whole thing didn't install without a hitch. Not
only was I surprised but, of course, very pleased to now have CD/DVD-burning
software on my RC2 system.
Just thought I'd pass along the results.
