I don't deal in movies or music. I transfer files and backup data. I need
the disk to act just like another hard drive, enabling me to add or delete
one file at a time - not batch write.

The "only" reason I have Easy Media Creator on my computer is for the full
packet writing capabilities. Without it Roxio and Nero are worthless.

Maybe version 10 will solve this problem.

How about getting a DVD-RAM drive? They are dead cheap now and can be used
on Vista without packet writing software or drivers.

How about Roxio Easy Media Creator 7?

I'm using version 7.5. Most of the features work, except the Sonic backup
won't install, and CinePlayer doesn't work.

Thank You

Actually, EMC 9 certainly does NOT work with Vist 64 RC1. There have been no
posts to solve the trouble at Roxio; MS says the problem will be resolved in
the RTM version, but of course, that doesn't help any of us updaters, or
early adopters, and Roxio seems to suggest that they don't have to do
anything, since MS will take care of it eventually. Meantime, I bought the
full version and can only burn with my Nero 7 software- MS Media Player will
not even start on my RC1 64 bit system. And the latest mags suggest I should
have installed 32 bit, since most of the software I use will run faster on my
AMD 64 system in 32 bit Vista (1GB RAM, and ATI video card).

actually, emc9 is a disatser on vista RTM
running it on vista ultimate rtm... first thing is that the help menus dont
display... assorted random crashes and weirdness.
