Rows to repeat at top

I was trying to find "freeze panes" and stumbled on Page Layout/Sheet/Rows
to repeat at top and Columns ro repeat at left. I tried putting in
numbers for rows, "1", "1-2", "1,2". None are valid. What do you enter
there, and does it perform the same function as Freeze Panes?

Also, I'm running Excel 2007. Where do I find "freeze panes?"

TIA

Thanks.

Rows to repeat at top is a Print only command.

Proper syntax is 1:1 or 1:2, 1:3

Not the same as freeze panes which is a window function.

Freeze Panes found under View>Window category.
