row to column

I have values on worksheet 1 in cells a16:z16 and would like to copy to worksheet 2 and paste to column A rows A1:A26.

Can this be done
 
Highlight the range, right click Copy, If A1:A26 in Sheet 2 is completly
empty, click A1, right click, Paste Special, check Transpose > OK. If A1:A26
is not empty, either clear the range or Paste Special somewhere else.

Check out Edit > Paste > Transpose.
