Column labels A, B, C can be changed to 1, 2, 3 as you have already been told.

Tools>Options>General "R1C1 reference style."

Row labels cannot be changed from numbers.

If you are looking to swap data from columns to rows check out TRANSPOSE
Function or just copy the data and Paste Special>Transpose.

Hi

You can't! But you can have leftmost column(s) values used as row headers
(key column) - of course you can't use them as references to row, but you
can always use them as lookup values.
To set leftmost column(s) always visible, use Freeze Panes option
(Windows.FreezePanes).
