row height

Merge two rows together. If you need a total height of say
500pts, set two rows to 250pts each and then merge the
rows.

AFAIK, there's no way to do this. You can merge cells in two or more
rows to create a combined cell > 409 pt.

I never recommend this, however, as merging cells is almost always a bad
idea - it screws up sorts, selections, etc.

Hi nameless TechWriter,
I can't tell if you entered your question as a new question or tacked it onto a
question 3 months old. I guessing it was a new question in which case I
would refer you back to (typical problem with having non unique subject title)
http://google.com/[email protected]
The reason I can't tell is that CDO has put in some strange information
into the message headers. But I think of all 51 postings in what Google
Groups has listed as if it were one thread all refer to the same problem.

You might have some success by overexpanding the row height before
doing the auto height (Ctrl+A, doubleclick on any bounary between row numbers).

Jim Rech's macro (from that thread above in answer posted by Gord Dibben)
http://google.com/groups?threadm=e1$1uzL1BHA.1784@tkmsftngp05
would work better, if you need instructions to install see
http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm#havemacro

Greg Wilson's adaptation could have been referenced directly without
temporary tinyurl that address the search rather than the article.

Maybe a textbox either from the Drawing toolbar or from the Control Toolbox
Toolbar????

The control toolbox toolbar textbox has a lot more properties that you can play
with.
