Let said I retrieve 10 records from q query to Access Database, I want to
add a column which has running row number.

How to create the row count in Access query?

Since you are asking in a reports News Group, I will provide the reports
solution.
Add a text box to the detail section and set these properties:
Control Source: =1
Running Sum: Over Group
