hi,
we have pc's in our conmpany network that receive their ip address by means
of DHCP. during login to the network they receive a routing table, depending
on their location ( = ip subnet ). everything is fine, except when a laptop
is temporarily disconnected from the network.
W2K and WXP machines loose their ip address, and subsequently their routing
table. when they reconnect their ip address is restored, but the routing
table is gone.
WNT machines keep their ipaddress when disconnected, and so their routing
table.
fixed ip addresses and persistent routing are not an option.
does anyone know a way to make w2k and wxp machines to behave like the wnt
machines??
TIA
