Routing Problems

Hi there

I am based in South Africa. We have a remote office in Namibia, that has a Small Business 2000 Server configured as a Remote Access Server amongs other software. It is a stand-alone server. We need to synchronize databases from SA, therefore we need to establish a dial-up connection from our office to Namibia.

We have configured our Cisco router to dial-on-demand to the Namibian server, and all works well. The problem is that there is no routing between the 2 networks. All the articles I have read talk about doing the converse, where the Namibian server would DOD to South Africa..... but we wanna do the opposite.

Any help???

So it sounds like the link connects just fine. Now clients on each side
need to realize that in order to reach the other subnet, they need to go
through the DoD connection. More information would help us in solving your
problem.

1) a route print from a client on each network you are connecting
2) a quick explanation of your IP design and network layout (
substituting IPs is advised )

After seeing this info, we can provide more in depth support.
