Hi,

I've recently setup a Windows 2003 RRAS VPN Server (Dial-in VPN
Server).
I have 2 NIC's 1 internal and 1 external the external IP has a default
gateway configured, whereas the internal interface I have configured
static routes. When I connect to the VPN server I am only able to ping
the interncal interface, the 2 local ip's on the server (internal,
external) nothing else. If your on the server you are able to connect
to everthing, as the static routes are working fine.
I have the exact same setup running on Windows 2000 and everything is
working fine.

Anyone have any ideas, or know of a setting that I might have over
looked.

Thanks
Trevor

Can ping VPN server only but not other resources

Symptom: after establishing VPN, you can ping and access the VPN server, but not other servers and the network resources.

Cause: 1. incorrect NAT/Firewall settings.
2. ISA/Proxy blocking.
3. Disable IP routing/forwarding.

Don't send e-mail or reply to me except you need consulting services. Posting on MS newsgroup will benefit all readers and you may get more help.

Hello,

Thanks for the help, it turned out to be Trend Micro's Personal
Firewall that was causing the problems.
