Hello
can any one tell me if its possible to use routing and remote access behind
a firewall and router because i need the VPN. If it is possible which ports
do i need to forward.

Whats dmz? i know i can do dmz using IPcop. and are they tcp or udp? Is GRE
(47) a port?

Thanks for your reply

DMZ is Demilitarized Zone. It is where you put your
exposed systems. What is the mfg of your firewall and
router?
GRE is a port as it relates to CISCO IOS. 47 is the port
number. They are all TCP.

sorry im dont know these these thecnical words. Whats a mfg. I havent got
any CISCO stuff so do i only need 1723? or both?

GRE is IP Protocol 47, it is not a tcp port. For PPTP connectivity you will
need to open TCP port 1723 and allow IP Protocol 47 (GRE).
