All,

I am not very familiar with Remote Desktop and do not use it. I just had a
computer guy over here troubleshooting some other unrelated problems and he
found that my remote desktop was showing error logs.

The computer guy tried to stop the process but the computer wouldn't respond
to the request to shut down the process. He seemed to think the process was
stuck in a perpetual loop.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John

If your not using Remote Desktop why not simply disable it?

You also could stop the Terminal Services service but that may have other
ramifications.

Al,

Thanks for the input and additional thread you found. I went into the
Services in the Administrative tools.

When trying to stop the Remote Access Connection an error came up saying
"Could not stop the Remote Access Connection Manager service on Local
Computer. Error 1053 The service did not respond to the start or control
request in a timely fashion.

It won't stop and seems to be in a loop.

Any ideas

No, sorry...

The only thing I can suggest at this point is a "Repair install" to clean up
your OS. Note the warnings on the page...

Good luck...
