I'm trying to connect 2 private networks together via a VPN to share network
drives. I managed to make a Dial on Demand VPN connection from one server
to the other. i also setup static routes so when an IP is used from the
other network, it routes it to it properly. I can ping all the ips on the
one network from the other, and i can ping 2 of the 4 going the other
direction (i'm not sure why this is). Anway, my next question is, how do i
get the other comptuers on the network to route through the servers? I'm
able to only see the other networks from the servers. Do i add each server
as a gateway on the workstations?

I'm running win2000 server on one server, and win2003 on the other. I'm
running winxp on all the workstations, maybe a few win2000's here and there.

any suggestions? thanks!

I would try adding DNS entrys on the servers so they can
resolve each other, then the workstations will also be
able to "see" the other network.

Thanks for your suggestions. So far i have made a vpn connection from one
server to the other. I made a static route so when the IP for the one
network is requested on the other, it will send it through the VPN. I then
set my Linksys/netgear routers to have a static route saying the same thing,
if an IP is requested on the other network, it will point it to the server.
But when i do a tracert it gets stuck at the server. Do i have to do
something special to make the server be a gate way for a subnet of ips?

thanks!
