Bob

I know this subject has been discussed ad nauseum but I searched and could
not find the specific settings to allow audio through my router. I am
using a Linksys wireless router and have UPNP ports opened but must not
have the right ones. I am able to use my video webcam (camcorder with
Webcamdv from OrangeMicro) quite successfully but still cannot get audio to
work. I would appreciate any help or advice regarding the port settings to
allow audio through. Thank you very much in advance.

Sorry.....I should have added that I am running MSN Messenger on Windows
XP.

Bob, check your modem. It may have a built in router in which case it must
also be set for UPNP. If this turns out to be true you probably do not need
the linksys unless it provides you with wireless capability. A modem with a
built in router and a hub would provide the same thing as the linksys and
one less level of configuration.

Some modems with built in routers are not UPNP as some stand alone routers
aren't. If you find this to be the case, respond back here and/or email for
the next step...which is a long shot.

| Computer operating systems are like socks - you need to change them fairly
| often.
