Rounding up to nearest quarter

Good day. I am using Excel 2002 and I have a worksheet
that is computing costs involved in manufacturing
process. I would like to be able to round the projected
cost up to the nearest $0.25 (quarter).

EX: $18.73 round to $18.75

hmm..
it must be rounded UP..

try instead =ceiling(a1,.25)
(rounds away from zero)

for negative amounts the 2nd argument must also be negative)

Note that Frank's solution doesn't meet your requirement to round *up*.
If that's still a requirement, use CEILING() instead.

Good point. Frank's "ROUND" can simply be replaced
with "ROUNDUP", but CEILING is the more direct approach.
