Dear all,

My DNS Server in win2k with SP4 machine. When I add two name hostname and
different ip address record to perform Round Robin as a low balance the web
server. But the dns alway reply me the last host record ip address why ? As
the round robin enabled in this DNS server option .

Thanks

Bryan

How do you know? (Really)

If you are using Ping or a client app to test then client side caching
will likely make it appear to work this way -- or if you go through
another DNS server then IT might be doing the caching.

Use NSLookup or another direct tool -- and if others are using it
you must try a few times to make sure someone else didn't slip in
between.

Finally, if you have BOTH "round robin" and "subnet prioritization"
(aka "netmask ordering") enabled it is SUPPOSED to try that too so
if there is a "better match" for one of the addresses you might get it
first anyway.
