We recently purchased an Epson 2200 mainly for printing large
panoramic black and white photos in quantity as a sideline business.
We are now searching for a lower cost paper than Epson provides in the
8" & 13" wide format. Does anyone have any experience or advice where
to turn.

We are extremely pleased with the results of the Epson paper, but a
little worried about the cost, figure there has to be an acceptable
lower cost alternative.

Thanks for any help

How much will it cost when you have to reprint your pictures
after the customers come back complaining they faded or discolored?
Why take the chance.

Isn't the cost of the ink much more important?
A good source for paper that is known to be compatible with Epson inks is
www.redriverpaper.com. There are others, of course, but it is your job to
find out which papers you like.

Try "TDK PRO Quality glossy Photo paper 270g" (or whatever they call it
now - see tdk web site). It works great in my Epron 2100 which is the uk
version of the 2200.

I've not tried tdk matt papers (if they make any)

I've tried some cheap supermarket glossy papers and had problems with the
ink coming off on the exit rollers. Not so with the TDK paper.

I ordered up some of the large-sized TDK paper, seems to be OK with
the 2200 thus far.
