I have tried installing RCT3 several times, however, I cannot get it to run
correctly. If I put too much into a park, it slows down. When the game goes
into night mode, everything slows way down. It seems to be a memory problem,
but I have 1 Gb of SDRAM. So what's the problem? I really miss playing.

Nowadays 1 gb of ram is not enough. Especially if your PC is running Vista.
Also this kind of sandbox games can eat a lot of ram if you build big
cities/parks,etc.
So I think you should add 1 gb of ram.

Seconded, if the game is running then your system is running as good as it's going to. 1 Gig of Ram isn't enough, talk to your local computer nerd about upgrading to 2 gigs. That'll help a lot.

If your computer is really old, (like more than 4 years) you might also consider upgrading, if you just got this system new with Vista and 1 gig of ram, then you should tell the person who sold it to you that they should of sold you another gig of ram. Any salesman worth their salt should ask you, "What do you want to use this computer for?" and if the word games comes up in the next 4 sentences they should instantly steer you into a 2 gig system.

Good luck,
A.
