Robin - here is what I tried

I have done the replacement of gcUncompress. I have tried
emptying the temp internet files. I have ran this program
www.ezcatalogs.com/programs/update%20fix.exe

I still can not get the system up take 5735.

Here is the last lines in my error log. It does not mean
anything to me.

When I got up this morning, I decided to try updating
again. After this PC booted, I deleted IE temp files
again. Then I hit update and the system again downloaded
and installed 5735. Clicked on update again and I was
informed I had the latest version.

Since on my second PC last night, by deleting the temp IE
files, I was able to get the update properly, it appears
all is OK in Atlanta, GA, USA -- Sorry for posting a
false alarm.
