Haveing problems with users profiles not unloading
properly, only way round is to reboot server, which is a
pain.

There are files left on the server after you delte user
profile off the server. The path points to C:\documents
and Settings\temp.domain\local settings\Application
data\Microsoft\Windows. The 2 files are userclass.dat and
userclass.log.

Says cannot delete as there is a sharing violation,
anyone any ideas about deleting this file without
rebooting the server.

problem is that userclass.dat is locked by system.exe, killing the handle will cause server to BSoD.

solution is in regedit go to HKEY_USERS, find the user's SID (PSGETSID from sysinternals) and unload the hive - this will free up the locked profile and allow deleting the profile.

(UPHClean utility does not help here, issue exist on server with UPHClean installed)
