Roaming profile won't load

Recently I have two computers (Windows XP Pro running on a Windows
2003 Server LAN) where the users can't log in using their Roaming
Profile. The error says their roaming profile cannot be loaded and
it's loading a local copy, waits 30 seconds and loads fine.

How can I determine WHY it won't load and then fix the problem?

There are many possible causes for this. Event Viewer may help you narrow
it down. Other than poor/slow connectivity the two most common issues seem
to be:

Offline files -

Fast logon feature -
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;305293

Both of these features should be turned off.
