I cannot log in to a Windows 2000 terminal server. I
receive the message ' Windows cannot log in because the
profile cannot be loaded - Detail - Access is denied.
Please contact your Network Administrator. I can however
log in using the roaming profile to two other identical
servers. Any ideas why?

EventID 1000 (with source Userenv, I presume?) is a very common
one. Have a look here for a large number of causes and possible
solutions:

Additional hotfixes for this issues (that haven't made it yet to
EventID.net):

828153 - UsrClasses Hive Does Not Unload During Logoff Because of
an Intermittent Handle Leak in Spoolsv.exe - pre-SP5 hotfix

827825 - "Windows Cannot Unload Your Registry Class File" Error
Message When You Log Off Terminal Services

I am experiencing the same... any idea when SP5 is coming ?
or perhaps how to get this hot fix from a website (aka: not calling Microsoft)

Hotfixes are never available for general download. Why don't you just
call Microsoft Support? Hotfixes are free of charges, as long as you
specifically ask for them and don't ask other support questions
during the same call.
