Hello,
after installing new software on some machines (WinXP SP2) the roaming
profile of many users was'nt delete from the client machine. After some
investigations we installed UHPClean 1.63d and look: On logoff the user
profile was deleted successful from the client and in event log some entries
of UHPClean appears. We toughed we solved the problem 'til we logon as a
domain administrator. On logoff the profile left on the client, no entries
in event log. Is it a design feature of this utility that it cannot work
with accounts which are member of group 'Domain-Admins' ? We try this:

1. User 'MyAdminAcc' is member of group 'Domain-Admins' -> On logoff profile
left on client
2. We removed user 'MyAdminAcc' from group 'Domain-Admins' and make him a
member of 'Domain-Users'. We logged him on and off and the profile was
deleted from client.
3. We removed the user 'MyAdminAcc' again from 'Domain-Users' and make him
again a member of 'Domain-Admins'. After the logon/logoff-procedure the
profile left again on client.

Anyone out there with same problems or better with a solution for that ?

Regards

Errors? What did the events say?

How?

No. UPHClean doesn't do anything to remove profiles at all....and if you
have roaming profiles in use, it should be running on all your client
workstations.

We try this:
1. User 'MyAdminAcc' is member of group 'Domain-Admins' -> On logoff
profile left on client
2. We removed user 'MyAdminAcc' from group 'Domain-Admins' and make

What's the new software, and is this happening only on the computers where
you installed it?

If you have no joy here, are you sure nobody's mucked around with group
policy settings? By default, the cached copy should be retained, but GPOs
can be used to delete them. Try running rsop.msc on the problem machines.
