Roaming profiles fail to load when there is a problem accessing the share
containing them. This may include a permission problem, network congestion,
name o ip address resolution issues. When permissions to shares are not
applied in the most simple possible way, sometimes effective permissions are
involuntarily changed by changing some group memberships or group
permissions.Excesive delay caused by network congestion, for example if all
your users log on at the same time, may cause temporary unresponsiveness of
the server directly caused by server overload or name resolution problems
that cause some clients not to find the required server. You should try to
determine which of these is causing your problems. I´d suggest that you
start by checking you permission structure and trying logon of different
users at different times to find a more specific behavior pattern and
isolate the problem.
