I am administering a domain with a couple of dozen windows
2000 systems and several windows 2000 servers. I have
roaming profiles implemented for all users without home
folders or folder re-direction.
One time I have tried adding a windows xp system to the
domain, but after a user logged in on the XP workstation
it appeared to have corrupted his roaming profile which I
ended up having to restore from backup. Right now I am
once again considering adding a windows XP system to the
network, so I was wandering whether a user can safely roam
between a windows 2000 and a windows xp system without
messing up his roaming user profile? It appeared to me
that this is not the case, but I want to be sure of that.
What is a good way to implement roaming profiles in a
domain which has both windows 2000 and windows xp
workstations?
Thank you for your suggestions,
Joe
