rm to avi/mpeg convertor?

Yes, it's called TINRA. Doesn't work without Realplayer though.

Be careful using this. Many rms (depending on what version of the
codecs were used to encode them) will not convert properly. To convert
an older rm file I had to load (please forgive me) Real Player 5 WITHOUT
Real Alternative instlled (Damn RealNetworks!!) and then it still had
stretched video. No amount of synching worked. Be prepared to spend
some time with it.

Every day i download, using Streambox VCR, real media news bulletins
from 3 French TV networks, and I convert them to DIVX avis to play
them on a standalone DIVX capable dvd player.

The software I use is called "EO Video". I have tried tinra and a
program called "rm converter". EO video is the best. The latest
version is 1.36. It is quite expensive, but of course you want to pay
for it, and not be a software pirate who uses Edonkey...
