I'm running a new virus & spyware checker from my ISP. It reports Riskware found:
"RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC"
I've found this in my Temporary Internet Files folder but can't seem to get rid of it.
This report pops up every time the checker runs. It appears to be a type application that
would be used if I want to access my computer remotely... which I don't.

Any idea on how to remove it? I searched my hard drives for "WinVNC" and
the
only occurences were a web address. I recently installed a virus and
spyware
program from Charter Communications and that is the app that is reporting
this.
This is a Charter customized program from F-Secure, and in the installation
folder
for this app, there are about 12 .ini files that contain reference to
"...\vnchooks.dll"

When you say you can't get rid of "RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC" that is located
in the Temporary Internet Files directory can you tell us what happens when
you try to delete it? Have you tried disconnecting your computer from the
internet by unplugging it from the modem or router and then restarting the
computer? If the file is in use it will not easily be deleted. You might
also want to try Killbox to have the file deleted http://killbox.net/

It seems that a VNC program of some sort may have been installed on your
system. WinVNC is one such program but there are others that also use
RemoteAdmin.Win32.WinVNC. You mentioned that you can't find the WinVNC
program on your computer but you mention that a search on your computer
turned up a web address for it which suggests someone has visited websites
that have it. Do you know who may have visited such a site and why?
