How do you get questions that you are watching, for a reply, to remain at
the top of the newsgroup?

But I want mine to remain at the top and I feel I am more important than you!

Now - if you mean you want the messages that are "displayed" to be sorted so
that certain ones are readily catagorized (Microsoft controls the placement
by use of a time stamp), it depends upon what news reader you are using.

The ones with the most hot air seem to stay near the top. :)

Just kidding. If you are using OE and you want to track a thread then click
in the area to the left of the document icon for the message. You will see
a pair of eyeglasses appear. That means you are tracking the thread.

Hi,

Hit ctrl+h and it will only show the threads you are participating in. Hit
it again to go back to full view.

Yes, I meant the ones displayed on my own computer being at the top, so in
active newsgroups you don't have to scroll forever to get to the ones you're
watching, or participating in. Thanks Rick, you certainly provided a good
solution, but it only covers the ones I am participating in. There are many
that I watch (using the "glasses") that I may not be participating in, but I
am interested in the replies. Any thoughts, anyone?

Sorry, cant see that option on mine. Tried all the options, none seem to put
the "watched" ones at the top

I see you're using Outlook Express. In the Watch/Ignore column
(the one with Eyeglasses; turn it on with View | Columns if it
isn't on), click to get eyeglasses on the thread (watched).

Then click on the eyeglasses in the header row. That will put the
watched threads either at the top or the bottom. If it's on the
bottom, click on the eyeglasses in the header row again to
reverse the order of the sort.

Perfect! Thanks very much>>>>>>
