Ris server crossing vlans

We have several vlans setup in our business and when I go
to a client machine to boot up to the ris server it will
not find the ris server unless the machine itself is in
the same vlan as the ris server. Is there a workaround
for this?

If you have a DHCP Server thats supports the "Next Server" option you
can use that to specify what ris server to use (ISC DHCP Server
supports this).

You can also configure ip-helper (if you are using it) to specify ris
server for the vlan.
