RIS + PE + Hyperthreading

Hye,

I'm trying to boot a windows PE via RIS on 2 computer
with P4 Hyperthreading

The boot freeze in text mode when the progression bar is
full and the message "please wait" is appear (just before
switch to graphic mode)

I have no problem on the same platforms with a no-H.T. P4

if anybody have an idea ?

PS : my server is windows 2000 SP4

I belive that if you build your Windows Preinstallation Environment CD from
a Windows Server 2003 CD that this problem has now been fixed.

WinPE is unable to detect the Multiprocessor platform, this is why you
see the hang.

You will need to have two images for WinPE. A Uniprocessor and a
Multiprocessor version.

To make a MultiProc version of WinPE, from a Windows XP Pro SP1
Product CD expand the ntkrnlmp.ex_ to ntkrnlmp.exe and replace the
version currently in the risimage)\i386\system32 folder of your WinPE
image.

You can of course also disable HyperThreading in BIOS
