I recently installed Windows XP Pro w/ service pack 1 on
my computer and now I get ripping and tearing and
artifacts in my video games. Games such as Ghost Recon,
Unreal Tournament 2003, MOHAA, and RtCW. I have the latest
drivers from nVidia as well as my mobo chipset drivers.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Note: The ripping and tearing is mostly with the game
menus, not the actuall games... mostly. But it's still
present in-game.

I have a similar problem with the GeForce FX 5200 video card. :( I'm still searching for answers!

This computer is a PIII, 933 mhz system w/512 mb ram. The game is "The Hobbit" from Sierra. I got their patch, but it hasn't helped with this problem. I got the updated files from NVidia ..... in fact, I've tried almost all of them, including the archived ones! Soon after we start the game, the main character is "blurred" & the screen gets a red tinge to it! I have used the GeForce 4 drivers with their cards & the game works ok. .... but the card died & will be sent in for replacement.

If anyone knows what I can do to fix this problem, I'd sure appreciate it .... my email is akplynn @ hotmail.com (I've spaced out the address to prevent the spiders from collecting it!)
