"Rip" lyrics/subtitles from DVD to text file

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the subtitles off of a DVD
into a text file?
I don't fancy having to sit listening (and stopping) the DVD to get the
lyrics from a (musical) DVD.
Ideas anyone?

There are lots of lyrics web sites that likely have this information. Just
search Google for the song name and lyrics.

I already tried that but there are many errors (in my situation
concerning the songs I want) in the pages of the songs. I was hoping to
get the lyrics from the movie so it would be (hopefully most) accurate.
