Right clicking takes FOREVER!

When I right click on an icon or folder the menu takes at least 1 minute to
come up. Everything else on my PC zips. Nothing hangs. It all runs just fine
until I have to right click something. Also, if I click to open an associated
file icon (for instance an .html file associated with IE or a .jpg associated
with PhotoShop) it takes at least a minute before I see ANYTHING happen. If I
just open IE or PhotoShop they pop right up. Some kind of "icon-itis"?!?!
