Right-clicking several songs to play, freezes system

Whe I right-click one song to play it takes about six seconds to start Player
11. On more selected songs right-clicking takes much longer to show dropdown
menu to the point where the command just freezes the system.
But, selecting many songs with the mouse and then pressing ENTER on keyboard
opens Player and plays them right away.
Tried different mice, re-installed drivers but no change. HELP!!!!

I am not sure about this but it could be happening the following. When you
double click several songs, windows open an instance for the program for
each song, that means that if you select 20 song and you double click,
windows try to open 20 media player instances. Try to right click and select
add to media player song list.

That does work, but before I used to be able to quickly select say, 20 songs,
then right click them and select play....it takes a long time or just forever
to even get the dropdown menu on more than just a few selected songs....still
working away at ot...this also happens with selecting any number of files and
right clicking them for the dropdown menu....Thx for your efforts
