Everytime I right click on a link and then click "open in new window". A new
opens with the url to to link I clicked on, but the original ie window(s)
closes without me doing it. I would like this to stop happening expecially
when I need the original ie window to stay o[en until I close it myself.

Have you tried this?
Tools-Internet Options-Advanced.
Uncheck "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts"

If that is not the problem, then perhaps it is a toolbar you have
added?
Try removing extra toolbars, in particular, the Yahoo toolbar.

Tried both of the suggested things but no joy. Still looking for a working
answer. Removed all toolbars with no change in behavior.
