When doing a presentation I have to click the insert, then picture then from
file.

Is there a way to add this to the right click, so when I highlight the
slide, and right click it will give me the insert option from there.
When doing a lot of pictures it takes a lot more steps, and if I could right
click it would make things easier,

You can't alter the extended menu on the right click, but . . .

Hold down the Alt key and press IPF. That will give you the Insert >
Picture > Picture from File dialog.

You can alter some menues but not the one in the main slide view
tools>customize>toolbars>shortcut menues
then drag the command you want into the menu

I found I could add the pic insert to the menu for the slide sorter view
(slideshow>slide object in slide sorter)
which worked on the icons in the left panel

of course this button is also available on the picture toolbar so you
could even avoid the right mouse click if you place that toolbar
conveniently (or put that button on another toolbar of your choice)

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for. One
workaround is to use the content placeholders for autolayouts (PowerPoint
2002 and 2003) which include an icon for inserting a picture into the
placeholder (the picture will come in proportionaly constrained to the
size/location of the placholder used.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
