When I right click on any web-based picture I can only
save as a bmp. I have only noticed this recently. Has
anyone else experienced this problem, and can you help me
please.

Your Internet Explorer Temporary Files Cache is full and
needs to be emptied.

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup
and perform some housekeeping.

If that does not help,
Click Start | Run | type "regsvr32 /i mshtml"

Empty the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder, and then delete
the files in the Downloaded Program Files folder that are listed as either
Unknown or Damaged. To do so:

Start Internet Explorer (if it is not already started).
Empty the contents of the Temporary Internet Files folder. To do so:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
Under Temporary Internet files, click Delete Files.
When you are prompted to delete all temporary Internet files, click OK.
In the Downloaded Program Files folder on your hard disk, remove the files
that are listed as either Unknown or Damaged.

To do so:
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
Click the General tab.
Under Temporary Internet files, click Settings.
Click View Objects.

Also, did you use the "/i" parameter using mshtml.dll? If not, this might
not work.

Tried both suggestions, still only get the *.bmp
option ... strange

I have emptied all the temporary files (I regularly
clean up my disk drive).

I've read the knowledge base post and tried all the
solutions provided there, I still am only able to save in
bitmap format regardless of the images original format.

I've tried restoring to an earlier date, run virus
scanner, is there anything else I can do ????

Please help I need to download some Gif's from animation
factory.

Hi Ramesh,

I have tried everything you suggest, there are no unknown
or damaged files in the downloaded folder.

The run instructions you gave me in an earlier post
worked successfully, I have read the knowledge base
article and tried the recommended solutions to no avail.

I need to download some gif animations from animation
factory but I can only save in bitmap.

regards
