right click- no properties option...

A friend with windows XP says when she right clicks on a
image there is no properties option available. Is this a
setting that can be changed or is it just not available
with XP. TIA

sorry about this I miss understood....she doesn't get a
options box at all when she right clicks on a picture. We
are on a group that post a lot of pics. Most of the time
the pic doesn't show up, instead we get a box with a red
x. But you can right click, go to properties and copy the
url and past in the address box, then it takes you to the
pic. But the right click doesn't open the options menu
when she right clicks?

Marty, what program is she right clicking in? An email program? A web
browser? If she's using a web browser, have her try emptying her Temporary
Internet Files. Also check Internet Options> Advanced to be sure that the
display of pictures is enabled. If Content Advisor is enabled, that can
change what is available on the right click menus too.
