When I right click on different icons, I get different options in the menu that pops up

Could someone point me in the direction of a description of where those options come from, and how I can edit them

For instance, I had a program that I tried out and it added several options to the right click menu. I have since uninstalled the program, but the options remain. I want to remove them, but don't know how

I would appreciate any help you could offer

Thanks
Chris

In general, this is done in the Explorer > Tools > Folder Options >
Files Types. Find the file type for which you want to change the
settings and click "Edit".

Instead of asking us to write a book for you, you tell us the problem and we'll tell you how to fix.

It depends on where in the right click menu.

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\OpenWithList
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Drive\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers
