Hi all
Recently I have started facing a strange problem.
Whenever I right click on any file/application icon
to see its properties or run it, the normal cursor
changes to hour-glass cursor and the right click menu
appears after about 30-40 seconds , till then there seems
to be no activity as such and I cannot select or unselect
any thing else in that window either. It looks like a
partial hang of the system.
Can anybody provide any solution to this.
TIA

How much RAM is installed in your PC?

Do you have the latest Windows XP compatible hardware drivers installed?

Right-click on MY COMPUTER and select:
Properties > Advanced > Performance Settings
and uncheck "Show Shadows under Menus"
and click APPLY.

I have 128MB RAM . The problem is still there even after
unchecking the 'Show shadows under menus' option. Once
the menu appears then there is no problem in getting it
again for some other icon upon right clicking..but for
the first time it is still taking a lot of time.
