The two that I know of from PC Mag don't work all that well with
Windows XP Home Edition.

I am looking for one that lets me edit and / or delete entries (not
just disable).

You can try Fast Explorer 2001 release 4
http://thesoftpro.tripod.com/downloads/fe/index.htm
http://thesoftpro.tripod.com/downloads/fe/fe.zip (562 kb)

This handy utility allows you to manage context menus items of file objects
displayed in a file manager, such as Windows Explorer or any other
application that supports shell's application programming interface. It's a
very simple way to make your often used file actions quickly accessible.

Fast Explorer supports both static and dynamic menu items and even more.

With Fast Explorer you can create new menu

items, submenus, dividers, specify menu bitmaps and hint text, and manage
existing menu items added by other programs.

For an ultimate control over dynamic menu items added from within Fast
Explorer, you can define your own look & feel using the custom-drawing
feature.

Menu items can be associated with any file class registered in the system,
including set of predefined shell objects:

All files;
All files and file folders;
All non-associated files;
All folders;
All file folders;
File folder background;
Entire network;
All network shares;
All network servers;
All printers;
All drives;
Audio CD in drive;
DVD drive.
