Right arrow key has bizarre assignment

I have a Dell laptop running XP and it is 99% great, apart from the
right arrow key.

Instead of moving the cursor right by one space, it always, always,
always gives me a n/ line feed. This is regardless of which
application I'm using. It's most annoying.

How can I reassign the right arrow key so that it behaves normally?
BTW - the others are fine.

Sounds like a keyboard fault (hardware). If the laptop is still under
warranty, get a new keyboard from Dell. They are extremely easy to
replace. Even if the laptop isn't under warranty any more, a new
keyboard shouldn't cost very much.
