My PC can recognise the CDRW driver, WinXP Professional
also can detect the CDRW and gave it as e: drive

However, I cannot have my e: drive to show any content of
any disc inserted into the CDRW.

I have tried many method like remove the CDRW then detect
new hardware again, also tried use the command prompt to
force read disc, also refresh the window explorer screen
on my e: drive.

All dont work in making the CDRW to read disc.

Anyone has the same experience before? Can this be
handled?

Need you experts advise.

I have had this problem several times myself, especially
upon installation of a new writer. The problem usually
lies in jumpers, which I have found actually have no
effect on the transmission of data to your computer, so
rule that out; or the problem lies in the writer itself.
If it is a new writer, you may want to go back to where
you got it and either get it fixed or replaced. I have
several drives where this is issue, and have found that I
cannot fix them myself. The problem usually lies in the
wiring of the unit itself. This is more of a hardware
problem than anything else, and I suggest you treat it as
that.
